Short-Term Disability Insurance provides income in case you experience a non-work related illness or injury. Benefits begin on the 16th day of continuous disability and after exhaustion of paid time off benefits.
Coverage Options: 40%, 50%, or 60% of weekly salary (maximum weekly benefit = $2,000)
Long-Term Disability Insurance is available if you were hired on or after January 1, 2015. Benefits begin on the greater of 180 consecutive days of total disability or exhaustion of Short-Term Disability.
Coverage Options: 50% or 60% of monthly salary (maximum monthly benefit = $6,000)
Supplemental Disability Insurance provides tax-free income during a disability. Employees may enroll in $500 to $5,000 of a monthly benefit. Plan features include guarantee rates up to age 65, waiver of premium and portability.
