Group Short Term Disability provides income replacement for a portion of your paycheck if you experience a non-work related illness or injury and are unable to work. This income helps pay for health insurance, mortgage, utilities and many other daily living expenses. This policy is not portable.
Employees may enroll in 50%, 60% or 70% of your weekly income up to a $2,500 maximum. Benefits begin on the greater of the 14th day or the exhaustion of your paid time off (PTO) benefits and will continue up to a maximum of 26 weeks. Pre-existing conditions are not covered for 12 months for any treatment or services received 6 months prior to the effective date.

Benefits begin on the greater of the 181st day or the exhaustion of your short term disability benefits and will continue up to your social security national retirement age. Monthly income is reduce by other income sources. Pre-existing conditions are not covered for 12 months for any treatment or services received 6 months prior to the effective date. Individual Supplemental Disability provides additional monthly income replacement up to 30% to add to your group disability benefits. Begins after the selected elimination period and will continue up to a selected benefit period. Benefits are not reduced by other income sources. The policy is portable.
